Oh I LOVE the Grammy’s! I think it’s the most fun awards show, because I love seeing all of my favorite people perform! I thought this year had some really great performances. Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, JT and Jay-Z, Rihanna, Mumford and Sons, the tribute to Bob Marley with Sting, Elton John…so many good ones! I’m not even sure which was my favorite, because I thought they were all so good, with maybe the exception of LL Cool J at the end…wasn’t a huge fan of that, but I was surprised that he did pretty well as a host. I thought he would be kind of horrible…not too bad!
Anyway, onto my favorite part…the outfits! I also like the Grammy’s for this reason, because a lot of people have fun with their outfits instead of being sooo serious with them. I like that. However without Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj I feel like they just weren’t quite as exciting this year as usual. There were a lot of good ones though…so here we go…
Allison Williams: I seriously love this girl. She always looks fantastic. I wish she had done something a little bit more exciting though. This dress is gorgeous, but the color is a little bit blah for this night. I would have liked to see her in something bright or even shorter.
Karlie Kloss: I think she looks adorable. I love the color and her hair! Ohmigosh I wish I had her legs and body!
Maria Menounos: I love her hair and makeup. I really like the shape of this dress, but for some reason I just can’t stop thinking about bananas…I wish it was more neon or just a different color.
Alexa Chung: I think she is so cute too! She interviewed the red carpet for Fuse and she is darling! I love this dress, but not totally for an awards show. I feel like she could wear this any day…I wish she did something a little more glam.
Beyonce: At first I saw the top and hated it, but when I found out it was pants I liked it a lot more. I give her props for not wearing a dress and going a different route than normal. Super simple and clean. Not sure if I would like it on someone else though. However, I don’t think it was dressy enough. It looks like something she could wear on any day. 
Natasha Bedingfield: At first I was going to put this in my worst dressed because I didn’t like the shape of it…but then I started to like it more and more. I don’t love the silver belt. I do like the fabric though. I think it depends on how you see her standing, whether or not you like the dress.
Miranda Lambert: Her face is always perfect. This wasn’t my favorite dress. I don’t think it flatters her arms and the color is just ok. I do however love the dress she wore for her performance. I feel like that fits her personality so much better! Love the sparkle and pattern. 
Kaley Cuoco: I really like this look. It’s chill, but fashionable and just something different. I would totally wear this.
Kat Dennings: To be honest I don’t love this dress. I don’t think it’s the best color on her and I don’t love the length or the shoes she picked with it. I didn’t put it on my worst dressed though because for once her boobs are not totally hanging out and it looked a lot better on stage than on the red carpet.
Adele: As my friend said, I wish she hadn’t worn her grandma’s tablecloth…BUT it’s not black! So in a way I kind of like it. Redeeming qualities include…the shape of the dress. Her makeup and hair are perfect though. Put the whole thing together and made me like it more. #Valentino
Kelly Rowland: At first I LOVED this dress…the shape and the pattern on it, but then I realized that it wasn’t a pattern…it was cutouts and I didn’t like it as much. Up close, it was too much. She does look amazing though. The mermaid style bottom looked fantastic on her. I want her body.
Katy Perry: I actually really liked this dress and loved the color. This is my favorite color right now and it looked so good on her! I don’t think I would like it on anyone else though, and I’m not a huge fan of the jewels at the top. This is what I mean by doing something different though. Most people wouldn’t wear something like this, but it totally fits Katy. I liked it a lot. #Gucci
Kelly Osbourne: I hate her stupid purple hair. Now that that’s out of the way, I thought she looked pretty good. I liked the simple black dress and simple hairstyle. She’s not my favorite person in the world, but she looks so good compared to what she used to look and dress like.
Nicole Kidman: I’m not really a fan of the see-through bottom, but I think the dress other than that is really pretty and this color looks really good on her. #VeraWang
Carly Rae Jepsen: I wish this dress had been green! Then I would have loved it. I felt like the black made it look a little bit goth with her makeup and dark hair. I think the dress is gorgeous though. I love the mermaid-ish look. I do wish it was like a tiny bit more hemmed though. It made her look short and like she was going to trip. I don’t love her hair. I wish she would have done it up. #RobertoCavalli
Nicole Richie: This was an after party dress, but I loved it so much that I had to post it on here with all the other ones. I LOVE the shape and fabric. She looks fabulous! I even like her hair slicked back like that. Almost a best dressed, but it kinda doesn’t count since it was after the show…
Estelle: Ok ok, the pattern is hideous, but I couldn’t put it on worst dressed, because look at the shape and the back! If this had been any other pattern or color I think I would have put it on my best dressed.
WORSTS:
Jennifer Lopez: I want to throw up on this whole ensemble. I hate the stupid tight bun on her head. It didn’t work with the flowyness of the dress. Then…ummm the missing fabric? It’s not even a slit. It’s an entire chunk missing from the dress. I just didn’t think that it was flattering at all…and J.Lo can get away with a lot.
Kimbra: I’m not even going to talk about her hair. She must have gotten electrocuted before the show. Anyway, I do NOT like all of the weird guazy stips popping up everywhere all over the dress. I actually might have liked it if those had just not been on the dress. It looks like a Kleenez box attacked her.
Janelle Monet: I think she looks like a little boy. This is not a femine suit. Plus it looks like she’s trying to be a matador. I don’t like the hat. It makes her little hair thing look weird.
Alicia Keys: O Alicia, usually I love your outfits. I am not a fan of her slicked back hair with this dress. I thought it looked good with her performance dress, but not here. I don’t like the snake skin cut out top. It looks like it came from Halle Berry’s Catwoman outfit. Then the skirt made her hips look kind of big and popped back out funny at the bottom. It’s not the gradual “mermaid” look you want. It looked like it was squeezing her.
Ashanti: First of all, I didn’t even know she was still around. But this dress should make her go back into hiding. I HATE the flower detail on it. I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be see-through or not. The top just isn’t flattering. I don’t like how high the slit was or the cutout right in the middle. It was just a bad choice.
Solange Knowles: Her hair is not ok. I usually love the fro she rocks, but it looks like it’s kind of going limp here. The color of the dress looks good on her, but something about it just isn’t flattering her body. Maybe it’s the cap sleeves or something. I just didn’t like any of it.
BESTS:
Florence Welch: Ah my love! She’s just my favorite. Here is a green dress that completely works! I love this color with her hair. It’s fitted perfectly to her body. I don’t even mind the weird spikes that much because I just love this so much. #Givenchy
Skylar Grey: This looks fantastic on her! I love the bright red and the shape. It’s beautiful.
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw: These two always look so perfect. I can’t get over her dress. I love the detail on top and I think it’s the cutest shape. I swear both of them get better looking every year. #JMendel
Carrie Underwood: This surprised me a little bit because she rarely wears black, but I think she looks great. The dress is a little bit edgy so that’s different for her. Her hair and makeup are always perfect. #RobertoCavalli Then for her performance, I wasn’t sure about the dress, but they started doing all of the cool light effects on it and I loved it. She is soooo good!
Taylor Swift: I think she gets better and better every year too. This is gorgeous. I love that she is looking more and more grown up all the time with her style. It’s elegant and I like the silver detail at the top a lot. I think this color looks great on her because she’s so fair too. It doesn’t wash her out though, even though she’s not super tan. #JMendel
Umm, also how fun was her performance. She puts on such a good show. I think she’s getting better at performances too. For a while she was kind of trying a little bit hard and now I feel like she knows the right balance.
Rihanna: She won my best dressed last year too, but look at her! That color is phenomenal on her and I love how soft her whole look is. I love the flowing hair and dress. Hands down my favorite.
I also liked both of her performance outfits and songs. They were so good. I LOVED the white outfit she wore for the Bob Marley tribue. Totally fitting. She’s so small though! 
Also…I can’t finish my post without a photo of these two. AMAZING!!! I love that Jay-Z just sat in his seat, walked on stage, performed, and went and sat back down. Yay, JT is back!
